Wow I can spell. I swear. I noticed my typos before some weird MAGAt sees it and throws a conniption fit. But David Lowery has one of the best imaginations working in cinema today. His movie casts tend to be pretty colorblind (as they should be -- they're almost all fables and fairytales) so unless your enjoyment of a film is determined solely on the color of the performer's skin (weird criteria for judging an entire movie if you ask me, but MAGAts are known for being weird and creepy) there isn't much bad to say about this movie. It was packed with imagination and whimsy, had a ton of heart and was a lot of fun to watch.

LOL at all the triggered hermits here who are bashing a beautifully made movie about imagnation and friendship. What is so "woke" about this retelling that wasn't in all the other versions? Only having white people? Is that seriously it? No one seemed to bat an eye when a girl player Peter Pan or an old man player Peter Pan, but the second they get someone who isn't white, everyone with a Ben Shapiro podcast subscription stretches their keyboard warrior fingers and has to whine about some perceived slight against them by an artistic simply making art the best way they know how. Grow up, losers.

I am an Asian living in the continent of Asia and I notice a major setback in the quality of Hollywood produced movies. It seems they carry too many excess baggage. I enjoy watching more Asian movies like Chinese, Thai and Korean. Their story telling is much better than the U.S. production.

This is a movie my daughter had been looking forward to soo much! as i read the story when she was little.. and i agree... as she said: its more fun to study for math test... We had to turn it off after 35-40 minutes ... and this was the drop..... so horrible .. no depth, no soul, no charcter writing, no plot, no exitement, no genuine feelings, exept from offc.. ITS disney 23. and all females are superior to all males.. and they fix everything,.. duh

@bloodyjim - You are talking about fiction versus non-fiction. No one would make a movie about Larry Bird and make him a black guy. No one would make a movie about Michael Jorday and make him a white guy. Fictional movies have nothing to do with European history or culture because they are purely fictional. Fictional is purely the imagination, where as non-fiction is based on culture, and the experiences of that culture. Europeans do not own the imagination or re-imaging of a fictional product. You need to understand Cultural Appropriation versus imaginary figures. What was wrong with imagining Dorothy, a purely fictional character, as a black person, like Diana Ross in "The Wiz"? It was a good movie. Our imagination need not be bound by race. Black people don't have to be the bad guys, and white people the good guys. People really need to start broadening their minds. That is the point of re-imagining these fictional characters. The world is mixed, and now Hollywood is mixed too. It is not "woke". It is the real world. Hollywood is re-imagining fictional characters in this real world. It is about time.

I like Robin William's Hook than this.

Watching this, I had the feeling the movie didn't know what it wanted to be. A musical? A drama? A kid's movie? A comedy? There were very cool elements juxtaposed with cringeworthy cable flying work. There were so many missed opportunities with regard to combining CG with practical elements. Again, another area where the movie didn't know what it wanted. Wendy was fantastic. The children in Neverland were just right. Tinkerbell was a welcomed surprise. Peter Pan, however, didn't have anything of the devil-may-care attitude associated with the character of old. It was enjoyable as a one-off, but I'll never have a reason to watch this again. This is an example of how all the elements of a good potential movie can be present but fail anyway.

This is a complete disaster. This was so low-budget. This is an embarrassment of a film. Don't waste your time with this one.
