Plot summary

Second Lieutenant Han Sang-yeol leads his platoon during the Korean War in the early 1950s. He carries emotional scars and pain within. So when he meets some children from a choir, who have lost everything in the war, Sang-yeol is deeply moved and tries to protect to them.

One part anti-war film, one part drama, this

One part anti-war film, one part drama, this film explores loss and grief. It has excellent acting throughout, with a poignant story about hope in the face of crisis and war. The movie is very heartwarming, even if it gets super melodramatic at the end and falls to a few cliches. If I had to pick a film similar, I'd say its like The Flowers of War (2012).

BEAUTIFUL TOUCHING LOVELY MOVIE, BUT SAD

Oh my gosh I don't know what to say about this movie I cried through half of it it's so sad when children have to go through what they go through in any war. It was very well written and it had a lot of emotion in it again I cried through half of it because when children cry I'm going to cry, being a mom. It's about music and I love music they say music is all encumbering, so true cuz people actually forget about what they were fighting about what they were arguing about what was going on around them when music hits them and it gets into their soul and make some real lies were all human That's the what I took from this movie. Really heartfelt beautifully done.
