Plot summary

Billy Hill and Jack 'Spot' Comer were among the most notorious criminals in London up until the 1950s. Dramatising the violent reign of two of London's most notorious gangsters, Billy Hill (Leo Gregory) and Jack 'Spot' Comer (Terry Stone), ONCE UPON A TIME IN LONDON charts the legendary rise and fall of a nationwide criminal empire that lasted until the mid-fifties and which paved the way for the notorious Kray Twins and The Richardsons. This is the story of their rise and fall.

How is this not rated the worst film

How is this not rated the worst film ever made? The acting is really poor.... school play standard. The script is hilariously bad. The plot ridiculous. The cherry on the top has to be the court scene. At this point I thought this has to be a comedy? There's the main villain, wearing a blood soaked bandage from an injury which would have happened (by the time it would have taken the case to go to court) weeks before. Even allowing poetic licence, perhaps a week or days before. The bandage is still blood soaked. After rolling around the floor with laughter for several minutes.....

Absolute mess of a film. There's no character

Absolute mess of a film. There's no character introduction. People just exist, and appear in scenes (often fleetingly). You don't know who they are or what they do. At the start of the film, you figure that the characters will eventually become clearer as the story unfolds. But there isn't a story - it's just a load of scenes haphazardly thrown together, with nothing explained. It's especially confusing where there's a fight scene. Each gang has a huge cast of extras that turn up for these, but they're never in a fight scene twice, and so again, who's fighting who and who are we rooting for?
