The "found footage" concept didn't really work here

The "found footage" concept didn't really work here. The dialogue felt like actors reading from a script rather than spontaneous utterances, and having multiple characters carrying different cameras seems a bit of a cheat (who edited all the various footage together anyway?). Despite some creepy moments here and there the story just isn't all that scary.

Genuinely creepy for a found footage B horror

Genuinely creepy for a found footage B horror film. It’s purposefully unpolished presentation provides it with a chilling feel of authenticity, the lore established within works well for the plot, and the disjointedness of the way clips are played around each other gives this more of an air of being a sadistic killer’s fever dream than a traditionally structured 3 act film. Top that off with some generally good acting from the cast and this ended up being one of the best low-budget, creepy horror films I’ve seen in a minute.

Meh

So the movie started off okay it was very similar to the movie grave encounters. So I thought okay let's see where this goes. But then immediately it started to fall apart.The character Val, so it's to become this sniveling character who can barely speak sentences. Makes one of the most questionable moves by herself and then starts to cry barely able to talk. I actually started rooting against her you just so I wouldn't have to hear her doing the Blair witch cry.The other girl character Beth she's also equally as annoying but in a different way. And at the end once again starts acting like the other female character and just babbling and not making any good decisions.But as far as bad movies go it's okay so overall meh.
