I grew up with the original Power Rangers

I grew up with the original Power Rangers, and this movie will always have a special place in my heart! I loved the cheesy humor, action scenes, and movie soundtrack. It just stings that Ivan Ooze was NEVER made a canon character in the T.V. series. Talk about a missed opportunity. I recommend this film to any Power Ranger fan.

Anyone who didn’t grow up with ’90s Power

Anyone who didn’t grow up with ’90s Power Rangers is going to miss the point and tear it apart. But the child in me—the one who watched every episode religiously and used his parents’ furniture as stunt equipment—prayed for a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie like this, and those prayers were answered. This film gave 9-year-old me everything I wanted and more. The only reason I’m giving it a 4/5 instead of a perfect score is because Zack, Trini, and Jason weren’t in it. Other than that, it absolutely nailed the feel of the show while still finding smart ways to connect with its target audience. This movie isn’t for everyone—and that’s okay. It’s for that group of kids who grew up morphing in their living rooms. And now, getting to share that feeling with my son makes it even more special. This film deserves a better score
