Unlikely hero Mickey Barnes finds himself in the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who demands the ultimate commitment to the job… to die, for a living.
imagine saying magatard because you've heard libtard so much, he's probably a real SK... yes it's woke but decent. its like halfway through production someone decided they were going to make a statement
Got childish half way through. The entire focus changed. Mickey wasn't the star by the end. Should have called it "Racially diverse girl boss". Every male was bad, ranging from psychopath to idiot.
This year:
Jim Carrey played two characters in Sonic 3.
Robert Pattinson played two characters in Mickey 17.
Robert De Niro played two characters in Alto Knight.
Michael B Jordan played two characters in Sinners.
I don't know who this movie is for, but it definitely isn't me. I made it to the 35 min mark, saw that there was still 1h 41m to go. and switched it off. I like high-brow, cerebral sci-fi and this is the opposite. I'd probably like it if I was 12.
Pattinson came off as a cerebral negative in this film. Perhaps that was intentional considering the character he played. Collette came off as super fake. And worst of all was Ruffalo - it was like he was doing the worst possible Tr?mp impersonation possible. Douche Royale.
Overall, a pretty lame ride. I agree with those who spotlighted Moon. A completely different genre, but a far far superior film.
There's worse than this ...the only thing annoying was the voice over tone that didn't match ...it sounded like it wasn't his voice at all ...kinda low IQ nerd ...but besides that the story was good he was like a clone on the movie moon ...where he was an expendable and on this one he was a human guinea pig testing viruses and vaccines ....sound familiar?
kawada_kun: It's in the tradition of "Snowpiercer," whose grey, poverty-laden aesthetic it resembles, and "Okja." If one enjoyed those, and the director's work in general, there is entertainment here, though more comical than serious. (So, perhaps inheriting the humour of "Parasite.") I only lamented the lack of further sci-fi and philosophical exploration.
