This movie ruined my entire life.. the acting

This movie ruined my entire life.. the acting was garbage, the film was garbage, it looked like it was recorded on a samsung smart fridge. I felt disturbed and disgusted by every single aspect of this, I wanted to be killed alongside each character. I wish I never watched this, I watched it on 2x speed and still felt like it was 5x longer than it should've been. I also stabbed my own mom

Livestream, a 2025 horror-suspense thriller, is a film

Livestream, a 2025 horror-suspense thriller, is a film that fell a bit flat for me. It tried to position itself as a horror movie, but honestly, it felt more like a thriller with a few comic elements thrown in — it seemed unsure of what it wanted to be. There were moments where it tried to become a pure shock-flick, then it would suddenly lighten the mood and become campier or more ridiculous. It never quite committed to delivering genuine scares or a sustained feeling of fear, which made it hard to appreciate it as a true horror film. The acting was decent for what it was; there were a few performances that stood out, but many roles felt trivial — the kind of roles you barely remember once the credits roll. It seemed these were less well-developed characters and more placeholders to move the story forward. Furthermore, the film was predominantly in Mandarin and hadn’t been adequately dubbed or subtitled for a wider audience. So unless you speak the language, it’s tough to follow exactly what’s going on, which made it hard to connect with the story or appreciate the actor’s delivery. Some international films do a wonderful job of letting you follow their stories through strong cinematic techniques — you can appreciate character emotions and intentions without needing a literal translation. But Livestream fell short in this department; without proper subtitles or strong visual context, much of its narrative was confusing and distant. Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s a terrible film — there were a few moments that kept me engaged — but it’s not something I’d rush to recommend or watch again. Marketed as a horror movie, it certainly missed the mark in delivering genuine scares or a sinister atmosphere. If you’re a hardcore horror fan looking for a spooky experience, you’d be better off choosing something else.
