Plot summary

Stuck in the corridors of time, Godefroy de Montmirail and his faithful servant Jacquouille are projected to a time of profound political and social upheavals: the French Revolution... specifically, The Terror, time of great dangers, during which the descendants of Godefroy and Jacquouille had their castle and all their property confiscated by arrogant aristocrats, fleeing and lifes hanging by a thread.

The film isn't as funny as the first

the film isn't as funny as the first one, for sure . But still quite all right. Actually , all the characters are pretty awful . The new government and its followers (after the revolution ) are starting to act just like the old one, your connections are more than important . The aristocrats are portrayed as being similarly abysmal. This may be one of the reasons people usually don't like the film . The only positive character (mostly) is jean reno's godefroy. He remains dignified throughout the film . When things get tough , he kneels down and prays the Lord's Prayer.

De n'avoir aucune notion de l'espace, de notion de technique, de notion de scénario, de notion même de cinéma et de se faire financer quand même, ça tient du prodige. En ce sens, Les Visiteurs : La Révolution est exceptionnel. Même avec les rushes, les scripts, des producteurs ont continué à donner de l'argent à cet étron infâme, cette honte totale, cette négation de ce qu'on appelle le cinéma. Entre les nuits américaines honteuses, le jeu d'acteur aux abonnés absents, cette non-envie de créer une oeuvre un tant soit peu artistique, Les Visiteurs : La Revolution est quasiment un show gonzo, une tentative d'art nihiliste... Pour une fois, la vulgarité (omniprésente pendant le film) est de mise. Les Visiteurs : La Révolution est une merde infâme et chaque personne qui s'est commise dans un tel accident devrait être ostracisé du monde du cinéma. La prostitution est plus légitime qu'un tel désastre.

Third episode of our two favorite misfits, this

Third episode of our two favorite misfits, this new film has a really fun story centered around the French revolution and the many social changes needed at the time. The film reflects our modern times on many levels and the jokes still fuses left and right. Personally i loved it and think the three films are equally hilarious even though the original one will always be the best. Fun one.
