This might appeal to people who like puzzle

This might appeal to people who like puzzle box shows and movies, but not for me. There's a lot of absurdity in this, and a lot of just plain unbelievable behavior. This is not a spoiler: a woman, Kate, has an encounter with some cryptoszoa on a hike and forgets who she is, then takes the identity of someone who's been missing for a long time, impersonates her to her husband to discover that she's been investigating her own missing story. Add to This the fact that all the so-called "horror" scenes are just slow motion extreme closeups of… goop?

Kay, a strange introverted woman, is on the hunt for a missing monster hunter, Barb, who strangely looks just like her. The film takes you on a mind f*** that gives you goosebumps that make your stomach churn. Great date night but don't eat heavy prior to watching! Great start to CUFF 2024

Like a David Lynch fever dream. Unflinching and raw, confounding and uncomfortably strange, in the best way. Phenomenal cinematography, excellent score, and acting that feels like reading a book you just can’t put down. First time I watched it, I was compelled to immediately watch it again. If you don’t keep an open mind when you tune in, you won’t even pick up on all the nuanced details. I can’t wait to see more material from these talented creators.
