Plot summary

On a cotton plantation in Puerto Rico, the slaves are growing restless and rebellious, and attempts to crush the resistance by brute force have only made things worse. The owner, Mr. Jones, fears not only losing his plantation but also his life.

While it's a low budget movie, I understand

While it's a low budget movie, I understand how hard it must have been getting any budget for "this message", it's a movie that SHOULD make people think and wonder just how Free we really are in America. It hit home to me. America really isn't a Free Nation... you're just blinded into thinking your Free. TAXES, POLITICS, GOVERNMENT,ETC are just shiny objects that media uses to keep Americans in line. Maurice Johnson is the stand out, he holds every scene he's in. The movie is ok, but it should and does make you think

I found this hard to watch and wish

I found this hard to watch and wish the streaming service I used had had a faster speed option so I could have spent less time in physical discomfort VERY receptive to the message, however... I found the writing obtuse and telegraphed Is it about "freedom"? "slavery"? "devil worship"? The music, language, and visuals were completely unbelievable and anachronistic I am a writer and greatly value good writing, yet found it near impossible to suspend my disbelief during the entirely implausible character developments and plot irregularities That, and an unhealthy gratuitous show of violence and abuse Look, we are captives to our "masters" right now Income inequality has never been more severe, but.... Ideological pandering and unpolished propaganda is not the answer Good Try, but next time bring me in to punch up the script (and I have never doctored a script)
