Loved everything about this movie, except for the

Loved everything about this movie, except for the casting of Mason who's a solid 20 years too old for his part, in an otherwise distinguished cast, led by Joan Fontaine. Bonus here is the beautiful and underrated Joan Collins, in an impeccable performance.

Dated in the way interracial relations are handled

Dated in the way interracial relations are handled, but accurate from a historical standpoint. Fun to watch Joan Collins, pre-Dynasty, and somewhat innocent. Steven Boyd is the only likable male character in the entire film. Michael Rennie as the somewhat innocent murder victim doesnt have a big enough part. Scenery is beautiful.
