I saw it with more than sympathy this film. Sure, basic motives are Rupert Everett who I admire, Giancarlo Giannini and his voice as guide of story - hakawati , image.But , at final, the vision of Giulio Base is the significant one. Indeed, promising first part and, for less courage, maybe, almost improvised the last. The white of The Lord versus black of Judas. A Judas reminding first films about Jesus , when the face was absent. The provocative - imaginative first half and too comformist the second.But different by so many adaptations, more succesfull , no doubts. And, being teacher, the intention of student - director, in this case - matters, for me, more than the final result. Or, no doubts, the intentions of Mr. Base are more than interesting, provocative and digne to not be ignored of relativized.
