Plot summary

Hairy Legs, an animated short film, documents a 13-year-old girl’s small yet life-changing act of rebellion on the road to womanhood and feminism. Deciding not to shave her legs led filmmaker Andrea Dorfman to question and ultimately defy society’s expectations. With charm, warmth and humour, Hairy Legs captures the universality of girls exploring gender, curiosity and freedom as they evolve from spending exuberant, carefree days on their bicycles to facing and defying stereotypes.

immersive & clever

This story will resonate with the ists while challenging the others. The mixed-media animation evokes a nostalgia for childlike wonder as it immerses you in an imaginative-picture-book world.As a 20-something women in her 20's who recently stopped shaving her... legs, I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Very bad movie.

I watched this movie in a festival and I can say that it's the worst short movie ever made and whoever made this movie should quit their career and go work at Mcdonalds. It has nothing to do with "making other girls feel better" it's about own problems and trying to make others same as her. I DONT RECOMMEND IT.
