You need to prefer Norm of the North, that should be more better than this! Imagine Zootopia or Sing, but in the Inuit Canada, you literally get this when your mind just doesn't do exactly the same for what it used to be.

Arctic Dogs is a cute animated film led by Jeremy Renner and Heidi Klum. While it doesn’t reach the polished heights of Disney or DreamWorks, it manages to hold its own as a family-friendly adventure. It’s the kind of movie that you don’t necessarily expect much from going in, but it still has charm in its own quirky way.
The story follows Swifty, an underdog who often gets overlooked but refuses to let that define him. His determination to prove himself—even when faced with harsh weather and impossible odds—gives the film a sense of heart and perseverance. Swifty’s journey isn’t just about delivering the mail or trying to be recognized, it’s about proving to himself and to others that he’s capable of more than they give him credit for. That theme of chasing your dreams despite being underestimated is one of the film’s strongest aspects.
For kids, this movie is a win. The bright, colorful animation style paired with a variety of talking animal characters is enough to keep younger audiences engaged. There’s a playful energy to the film that children latch onto, and the simplicity of the humor works well for them. It has that Saturday-morning-cartoon vibe that can keep kids entertained all the way through.
For adults, the experience is more uneven. The movie tries to juggle too many characters and side-plots, which creates a back-and-forth pacing that can be hard to follow at times. The banter is constant, and while it might be funny for kids, it doesn’t always land for an older audience. The script occasionally loses focus, pulling away from Swifty’s main storyline to try and develop side characters who aren’t nearly as engaging. Those detours can make the story feel scattered and less impactful.
That being said, there are moments of genuine warmth scattered throughout the film, and it never comes across as lazy. The effort is there—you can see it in the creativity of the setting and in some of the performances. It just doesn’t always find the balance between being entertaining for children and meaningful for adults, which is where the best animated films succeed.
Overall, Arctic Dogs is far from perfect, but it doesn’t need to be. For kids, it’s colorful, fun, and engaging. For adults, it may feel lackluster and occasionally tiresome, but it’s harmless entertainment. At the end of the day, it’s a film made for children, and in that regard, it accomplishes what it sets out to do.
