Plot summary

When a little girl is kidnapped by a trafficking ring, they soon find they messed with the wrong child. Her mother, a notorious former gang leader, is close on their trail and will go to any lengths to bring her child home.

Furie presents an emotionally driven action film focused on child abduction and illegal organ trafficking. The story is easy to follow and grounded in Hai Phượng’s backstory and relationship with her daughter, Mai. This emotional setup enhances the impact of the unfolding conflict. The film’s conflict escalates from a family dispute to a relentless chase after Mai’s kidnapping. Hai Phượng’s character development is solid, showing growth as she faces her past and reconnects with loved ones. However, the resolution feels rushed and lacks a smoother transition from the climax. Veronica Ngo delivers strong action and emotion, though her gangster persona lacks consistency. Some supporting characters, especially the police, feel underdeveloped or awkward. Even it has flaws, this movie still worth watching

I like it. It more like a step forward for Vietnam cinematic industry. It has flaws, of course, this industry still young, but very interesting.
