A rather depressing movie so if you thought

A rather depressing movie so if you thought it would be light comedy based on the upbeat title tune, you're in for a rough ride. Looking at it objectively, the majority of the British population had it pretty rough for decades; few Americans know that there was still FOOD RATIONING well into the 1950's, as the former empire had collapsed and the nation was dead broke. There weren't U-boats torpedoing convoys of supply ships, just not enough foreign exchange to pay for food imports. If America's working class had it tough, our British cousins had it tougher. Watch it if you must but don't tell me I didn't warn you.
