Meh...

Well, when I sat down to watch the 2024 movie "Dying to Be Famous", from director Damián Romay, I had no idea what I was in for. I had never heard about the movie prior to stumbling upon it, and as such, I suppose, director Damián Romay had every opportunity to entertain and impress me.Writers Karin Hardin, Tressa Azarel Smallwood and Nakia Stephens didn't exactly put together an overly interesting or entertaining script. Sure, it was watchable, but it was somewhat flaccid, bland and generic.Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I do believe that I was actually only familiar with actress Tami Roman. The acting performances in the movie were fair.Watchable for what it was, but this was hardly an outstanding thriller in any sense. And it is most definitely not a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time.My rating of director Damián Romay's 2024 thriller "Dying to Be Famous" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.
