Annoyingly well done

This is a difficult film to watch because of how well it portrays a realistically dysfunctional family.All of the individual characters are very well realised and some seemingly throwaway lines carry so much weight when you see their impact. The performances are top notch and there's always a sense from every actor that there's much more going on behind their eyes. I am truly astonished at how well the script is balanced between these characters and at how much of a distinct impression each character leaves on you by the end.Even though I've never experienced anything close to the events of this film personally, it still manages to be intensely relatable to a disturbing degree. I recommend it if you're looking for a film you'll love but will never want to watch again.

A fun Christmas movie!

"That Time of Year" is the Christmas Movie that you would want. All of the actors are great, the story is a bit old, but it's told in a fresh way. There are many cringeworthy moments, but in a good way. It's funny, touching at times but most of all: It has the Christmas spirit!
