This movie is one that, on the surface

This movie is one that, on the surface, would never give it a watch. However, I am glad I did. Even though there are some elements that are cheezy, it is a smart horror film that attacks a lot of themes from faith to politics.

Stylishly shot and atmospherically edited, this low-budget indie makes the most of its limitations. The story itself is thin and sometimes leans on convenient shortcuts, but the moody visuals, effective sound design, and a standout performance from Cynthia Bond help carry it. A seductive demon tale with just enough soul to stand out, even if it never fully escapes its plain foundation.
