Plot summary

Calzante e crudo dramma bellico a tinte europee che racconta una battaglia per l'appunto poco conosciuta nonostante la sua importanza. Le location sono spettacolari ed uniche; forniscono un contorno che in realtà diventa assolutamente centrale nel racconto. I personaggi, ognuno su un fronte diverso proprio come nei romanzi di Ken Follett, appassionano e vedono le loro storie intrecciarsi senza sosta in un turbinio di emozioni che incollano allo schermo. Tutte le sequenze di azione sono di altissima qualità e non hanno nulla da invidiare alle grandi produzioni USA. Il finale è anche molto emozionante, seppure non particolarmente sorprendente nei suoi risvolti. Uno dei migliori film bellici degli ultimi anni.
