The romantic comedy sequel is a solid, middle of the road endeavor that struggles to recapture the exact spark of the original film. It focuses heavily on the uncomfortable, age-gap dynamic as a couple seeks parental approval, proving that a chaotic family meetup can offer decent entertainment even when the script settles into a highly predictable routine. Rakul Preet Singh is great as Ayesha, anchoring the lighter moments with a highly refreshing energy and a sharp screen presence. Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan provide solid, high quality backing as the stubborn forces clashing at the center of the household drama. However, the screenplay feels stretched out, trading the original's sharp wit for a more conventional, formulaic resolution that lacks a truly satisfying hook. While the high quality production values and colorful styling keep the film visually grounded, it ultimately stands as a fair, one time watch that works best on the strength of its main cast.
