Plot summary

Sorceress Arden and her warrior girlfriend Katia are deeply in love. But the veil between Earth and the World of Magic keeps them apart. When the evil sorcerer Zareth arises from the dead, Arden and Katia are sent on a quest to defeat him.

This was pretty bad...

Of course I had never even heard about this 2020 movie titled "Dagger Kiss: Enchanted Forest" prior to sitting down to watch it. And truth be told, I had absolutely zero expectations or hopes for the movie, solely based on the movie's cover. But I still opted to give the movie a fair chance, since I had never seen it and on the off-chance that writer and director Tucky Williams had something good to showcase here.From the movie's title and cover alone, I figured that this would probably be some lame ass low budget sleazy softcore movie. And not even 10 minutes into the 79 minute runtime, it was apparent that the movie was exactly that. This was little more than an outlet for writer, director and star Tucky Williams to showcase some fantasies.And seeing that the movie was written by, directed by and starring Tucky Williams, I can't claim that my expectations to the movie grew. Movies that have one person in all these positions tend to be questionable affairs.Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list, can't claim that it came as a surprise though, given the type of movie that this was.I doubt that people actually do sit down to watch a movie such as this for the narrative. I managed to suffer through, and I mean that literally, a staggering 19 minutes before tossing the towel in the ring and giving up on this pointless movie.My rating of writer and director Tucky Williams's 2020 movie "Dagger Kiss: Enchanted Forest" lands on a two out of ten stars.

When I first came up with that summary headline .. I reckon I made the connection subconsciously ... so no pun intended may never have been more warranted than in this case ... still I will always use it (and you will always like it - hopefully) ... which hopefully is also true with this movie right here.Maybe you are aware of a tv show that exists (limited?) ... I never saw that ... not that many have seen it - but those who have seem to be impressed. At least judging by the overall rating there. So not sure if there is any connection (character names and actors are the same - but not sure, if it is otherwise connected - as in this being a "sequel").There is a lot of lesbian love here - and a lot of other fantasy stuff. First I had no idea if this was our world or any other reality/universe. Lingerie back in the day with witches, mages and whatnot? Seemed off - but it is a movie so suspension of disbelief .. also while there is a lot of love going around, there is no nudity! Just in case that plays any role for you ... you are now have been made aware of it. Story is decent enough I reckon ... a bonus scene that is either funny or takes away a lot from one character (which we thought would be way more powerful than that I reckon) comes during the credits ...
