Plot summary

The Yau Tsim Mong area, the core commercial area of Hong Kong, has recently experienced a series of robberies. Many jewelry stores in the area have been ransacked by gangsters. Police unit is given the mission to take the gangsters into a custody, but the operation is not so easy.

Delivered as expected - great action, h2h combat, and an alright story

Solid, typical HK police-robber action movie. I have nothing to complain about. There's great action and really amazing hand to hand combat scenes. The acting is strong and believable and you can sympathize with both the protagonists and the antagonists. Although th story is not anything mindblowing, it is good enough to stay interested for the 2 hour run-time.Recommended watch for a Friday night!

Exciting watch, but forgettable

The movie is fast paced and has good fight scenes. The cast is not bad, though there are 2 side characters whose acting is passable.There are some strange actions in the movie though, that ends up being unintentional hilarious. For eg, people throwing away their guns to engage in fisticuffs. Or a hilariously elaborate setup for the movie's target, instead of a simple assassination attempt.

Exciting and Fun, But Very Familiar

First I'll say this is nothing new, fresh, or groundbreaking. It's your basic action movie.That's not a bad thing at all.Just don't go in hoping for a Hard Boiled or The Raid.Think more along the lines of Die Hard or Lethal Weapon.There isn't much character development or exposition....just...bang bang, pew pew, BOOM!It's good. Fun. But as I said, familiar.
