Plot summary

Tita is passionately in love with Pedro, but her controlling mother forbids her from marrying him. When Pedro marries her sister, Tita throws herself into her cooking and discovers she can transfer her emotions through the food she prepares, infecting all who eat it with her intense heartbreak.

Seductive and quietly subversive, Like Water for Chocolate remains as lush and transporting today as it was more than three decades ago. Infused with sensual imagery, longing, and a delicate thread of magical realism, the film captures the emotional intensity of Laura Esquivel’s novel while bringing its kitchen-centered mysticism vividly to life on screen. Food becomes both language and rebellion, each dish carrying desire, grief, or defiance in ways that feel intimate rather than theatrical. فلم جميل جدا. القصة رائعه و تحولاتها جميلة جدا. المخرج سرد القصة بشكل رائع و هادىء مع شاعرية جميلة . اداء الممثلين اكثر من رائع مع حظور قوي جدا من بطلة العمل و اداء متمكن . التصوير رائع ومتزن جمع بين الهدوء و جمال الصورة و يتصاعد مع الاحداث. موسيقى رائعة و مناسبه للمشاهد . الفلم رحلة للنضال بوجهه العادات و التقاليد .
