Enraged at the slaughter of Murron, his new bride and childhood love, Scottish warrior William Wallace slays a platoon of the local English lord's soldiers. This leads the village to revolt and, eventually, the entire country to rise up against English rule.
In the best tradition of Hollywood Mel Gibson plays fast and loose with history. I like this film even if Patrick McGoohan does play Edward I like a villain from a James Bond film.
As an Englishman living in Scotland the most depressing thing about this film is that a significant minority of Scots think it's a documentary!
@wilxter909 Haggish, is a Scottish national dish.. s a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and cooked while traditionally encased in the animal's stomach
Nice story, but far, far away from the real story of Wiliam Wallace. It's like a Scottish Haggish, prepared by Restaurant Hollywood, by an Australian chef. Btw, Haggish tastes great lads.
The Great movie I have ever seen. There is strong story, crazy acting just wow.
You will never boring, the last twist turn out your mind.
So,Why so late.........?
