A politically correct Nineties film with thinly-drawn characters

A politically correct Nineties film with thinly-drawn characters and a largely predictable plot line. Not bad though, too many characters perhaps. Think 'Letter to Brezhnev', 'Brassed Off'. Meera Syal wrote the script. Good for period colour.

Wow.....ummm just seen this movie 4 the 1st
