Plot summary

Teenager Eric, the son of a computer scientist who worked for the Apollo mission which sent the first human to the moon, is determined to become an astronaut himself one day, and befriends Paul Andrews, the first man on the moon. Paul is avoided by other astronauts nowadays, because he was very rude and rebuffing when he returned from space. Only slowly Eric learns, that he discovered something during his excursion on the moon, that he keeps as a secret.

Sheen is a washed up astronaut - Slater

Sheen is a washed up astronaut - Slater is a suspended kid determined to get to space. Typical plot line with a weird "rock in the greenhouse" ending that takes a hard turn.

They kept talking about space and there were

they kept talking about space and there were a few scenes in space from the moon, but the story was actually about more than that! it was about family and the choices that the kid made...in the end the story continues about people from other planets the end.

This is a bad movie . But it

This is a bad movie . But it keeps you watching and at the end you are rewarded by a "what the heck" moment that is well worth it. The same scene is reused over and over (I guess that space suit and moon set cost them a lot of money!) and some parts are just voice over like an after thought. I love Christian Slater and Martin Sheen, but they couldn't have saved that movie.
