Plot summary

As Jon makes a run for it, he finds himself on an expedition across the Southwest, where he encounters wild and crazy characters through a series of twisted and dark foibles. While his misadventure teaches him a valuable lesson about friendship and loyalty, the Mortician carries the story home with more than a few surprises.

Admittedly, Best F(r)iends' first part ended on a

Admittedly, Best F(r)iends' first part ended on a decent-enough cliffhanger but it honestly seems like the ending I'd expect more out of a series rather than a low-key film whose main selling point is the return of those two guys from The Room. Seems odd. And yet Volume 2, like with many Part 2s of movies I've seen, is superior to the first part. Tommy Wiseau's performance fits perfectly with his characterisation, legitimately well-executed moments of suspense and an ending that's definitely quite a bit...shall we say...out there. As a whole this Wiseau/Sestero collaboration is a unique achievement that, for its weirder moments, arguably fulfils its purpose as the two-part "epic" that shows there's more to Wiseau than just some commercials from 2000, The Room and his indecipherable accent. It's not "so bad, it's good" but what's wrong with actually being somewhat decent and competent sometimes?

"Best F(r)iends: Volume 2" continues the bizarre story right where "Volume 1" leaves off. I feel like this movie is a step down that quickly becomes pretty boring and a movie where not a whole lot happens. I think there is some creativity on display, but it's missing what made the first one kind of fun. I never thought I would say this about a movie, but Tommy Wiseau's presence is missing in this one. I feel like he brought a lot of fun and wackiness in the first movie that is almost nonexistent here. Overall, I am glad I checked these movies out, but if I ever went back and watched one again, it would be the first one, simply to enjoy Tommy and Greg interacting again.

I was very surprised how good the 2nd

I was very surprised how good the 2nd part was! I couldn't predict itâ(TM)s story line so great job there, it was beautifully shot with class, better soundtrack, very watchable, not something I could stop watching. Seeing him and his cast improving so much is very inspiring. I would not be surprised if his next film is even better.
