Adam Ray Is Dr. Phil Unleashed - 7/10. Adam Ray is a peculiar comic to me. His imitations and sets in those imitations are what makes him so hilarious. I’ve tried watching his work sans imitations, and he’s funny, but only to a certain extent. I think the thing that makes him funny is that he pushes these imitations to a comically over the top limit. He’s cartoonishly playing up these people. Dr. Phil seems to be the one that has struck a chord for many, as he makes a special just imitating the man. We actually get to see the real Phil and Adam joshing around for the majority of this special, and I think that’s the highlight here. But other than that, this special is just okay. I feel like the gag is starting to wear a little thin, and hopefully, Adam starts brushing up on his own material or begins to experiment a little more. But either way, this was still a funny watch and a good one for fans of the whole Dr. Phil unhinged schtick.

Adam Ray was an absolute joke of a comedian. It was very clear he was getting angry about any joke Dr. Phil sent his way. Dr. Phil ran circles around him in conversation. As Dr. Phil said "This is chess, not checkers." Dr. Phil was the only one maintaining their composure while also being the only one to add value to the conversation. Adam Ray appeared very out of his league.

This will be funnier to people already familiar with the adam ray dr phil shows. id recommend going down a youtube rabbit hole of adam ray as dr phil and then watching this. absolutely brilliant. adam ray is so fun
