Plot summary

In an effort to reconnect and mend their relationship, a troubled couple and their preteen daughter seek an idyllic getaway to a remote mansion in rural Louisiana. But when unexpected visitors arrive, their facade of family unity starts to unravel, as terrifying secrets come to light.

It made me laugh so much I cried

It made me laugh so much I cried. The plot itself could be improved, as I think major changes in writing could save the plot. The acting of the dad is horrible, thats what sort of ruined the movie. Next, is how it's so obvious some of the actors are just saying lines of the script with no emotion nor hesitation when it is so clearly needed. I was cackling all the way through because they tried so hard to make it edgy. The actors of Jessica and Isaac were adequate, but could use more emphasis on heavy lines and more body language in tense scenes. I noticed almost all of the actors were stiff, almost awkward to look at and clearly wanted to get this over with. If I was an actor I would would bursted out laughing from how wanna be edgy the script is. Only few of the actors were actually trying and somehow salvaged the movie. I would rather be chased by gorillas rather than watch and analyze this again, though. I look forward to see acting improvements... If there will be any.
