As a life long pedestrian, i do sometimes wonder about this. how all the little coincidences stack up. how cars will just magically appear the moment you want to cross the street. even in the middle of the night. Like that joke in the old disney cartoon (or where ever it was from) of the guy trying to cross, looking both ways, seeing empty streets, then the second his foot touches the road, heavy traffic appears. how sometimes you'll get what you need at the exact moment you need it. or ofcourse, not.
