England, early 18th century. The close relationship between Queen Anne and Sarah Churchill is threatened by the arrival of Sarah's cousin, Abigail Hill, resulting in a bitter rivalry between the two cousins to be the Queen's favourite.
@trustmebruh no not really. watching movies just for entertainment is fine but not a valid criteria when judging a movie and in the end a very limiting belief that prevents you from enjoying many movies. in fact you would be more entertained in general if you looked beyond entertainment when watching movies. as far as the favourite goes i will say that the 1st 1/2 hr seemed pretty generic narrative-wise but it really does get entertaining as hell for the rest of it.
You watch (or consume) a movie (or any art work) because it's communicating something, anything. Someone has something to say, someone has an interesting point of view, someone wants you to feel in a certain way, someone has a story... and you, want that too. Being educated is all about being capable to get interested by more topics, to talk to more people (and social classes), to feel more feelings... Education is widening the spectrum of your skills to be capable of MORE. So if you are not entertained, and your opinions consist in saying what's boring and what isn't, all you are saying is that you are uneducated. A real movie scholar (think tarantino or roger ebert) can watch any movie and simply say what they liked and didn't like in a movie. Uneducated people say encompassing judgements like "it's not entertaining". No. YOU weren't entertained, and that's mostly because you expect movies to be about comics superheroes saying 10 words sentences otherwise you get a stroke. :) (and the incel down there saying "upload 'good franchises like john wick which is what people really want" is the most clueless of them all... there's so much inferior mental laziness in this statement, to such an extent, that it's simply too bothersome to adress. That brainrot incel is beyond recovery...)
Instead of uploading bs movies in 4k and worst in web quality ya’ll should be focused on completing some good franchises in 4k like John Wick which is what people really want...
I thought it would be funny but It isn't: it is dark and sad... The performance of the 3 ladies is outstanding but I think I wouldn't watch it a second time. Thanks YTS!
