@newbie06 that's the thing with people like you: no one would ever be naked in front of incels who speak like you, apart from your dad perhaps. ;) You guys have to learn social skills 1.01. "I don't find the appeal" is enough, you don't have to imagine an hypothetic where you'd have a random advantage over a person a million times more appealing and talented than you. Remember that you are a frustrated nobody on internet, she's a musician who made it to the top, it doesn't happen without a lot of skills that you don't and will never have - intellectual, artistic, management, social (of course) AND genetic. Just learn to say "I don't like", frustrated boy. Be humble and remember who you are to society (= not much).
Pretty much in agreement with the reviews on the right column here: it doesn't deserve more than a 6/10. Dialogues are awful, acting was basic (as much as I like Cavill and Ritchson in their former roles), they had a good story and they made it a farce. Someone said: "this ain't tarantino" and it's spot on. It's trying to be inglorious basterds, but it really didn't work. And indeed too: worst churchill ever, unfortunately. Still entertaining, but really not that great. Rhythm, in particular, is lacking. It's an empty shell. If you like this, that means your cinematographic culture falls short, and time to watch "the man from UNCLE" or "layer cake" or "inglorious basterds" - and compare. Another generic movie, and probably the worst by Guy Ritchie. We're far from "Lock, Stock & two smoking barrels" or "Snatch".
You watch (or consume) a movie (or any art work) because it's communicating something, anything. Someone has something to say, someone has an interesting point of view, someone wants you to feel in a certain way, someone has a story... and you, want that too. Being educated is all about being capable to get interested by more topics, to talk to more people (and social classes), to feel more feelings... Education is widening the spectrum of your skills to be capable of MORE. So if you are not entertained, and your opinions consist in saying what's boring and what isn't, all you are saying is that you are uneducated. A real movie scholar (think tarantino or roger ebert) can watch any movie and simply say what they liked and didn't like in a movie. Uneducated people say encompassing judgements like "it's not entertaining". No. YOU weren't entertained, and that's mostly because you expect movies to be about comics superheroes saying 10 words sentences otherwise you get a stroke. :) (and the incel down there saying "upload 'good franchises like john wick which is what people really want" is the most clueless of them all... there's so much inferior mental laziness in this statement, to such an extent, that it's simply too bothersome to adress. That brainrot incel is beyond recovery...)
@deadpixel You should read the movie reviews on the right column. The movie has no good plot, pure retcon and bad writing. It matters to most people, usually not to kids who just want to watch mindless action scenes taking them everywhere without any logic needed, seems to be your case. 3 hours IS too long if the movie has no proper plot or bad writing, precisely because most GOOD 3h movies exceptionally use this length to SAY SOMETHING. The Final Reckoning has not much to say. What is new and great to you, isn't for those who actually saw other movies in their lifetime. That's the main qualm people have with this movie: a waste of their time, and a waste of filming time if they can't even come with a proper plot. People have seen the movie, it's just not a good enough movie to them. To you it is, good. Allow people to not be like you, kiddo, and to have more brains or more knowledge of good movies, or more taste. You're limited, others aren't. YOU are responsible for your own shortcomings, kid, society isn't.
@steerpike66 no need to be a hater, it seems that brits didn't like it either and I see a few comments in spanish saying it's a fiasco. For a sequel of a cult movie made 23 years ago, by a beloved director used to create great movies (danny boyle = trainspotting, the beach, slumdog millionaire) and his favourite writer (alex garland = annihilation, ex machina, sunshine...), expectations were high, and the movie, objectively, isn't that terrible. It's not awful, but what do you expect, little boys on internet are angry and you are one of them: you couldn't even express one sentence without insulting a few million people. :) As many said: the movie is watchable, but not great. Not a quality movie. And indeed the soundtrack isn't that great either.
