I actually didn't hate it. Yeah, yeah, it's not high art or anything. But it's nowhere near unwatchable. I personally don't know anything about the game -or care- so maybe coming into it with no expectations helped. The writing was pretty lack-luster for sure. Kevil Hart's "character" was just him being him, not really a fleshed out character. Yeah, the Jack Black robot was annoying AF... okay it wasn't great lol. But it wasn't unwatchable. If you're bored and not a big fan of the game, it won't make you rip your hair out or anything.

*chuckle* "Usually he makes a good movie" translation, he ONCE made a good movie, "The Sixth Sense" and for some unknown reason (blackmail on someone powerful?) he's been allowed to make terrible movies ever since.

Awesome. Wanted to see it just a study in how to make one of the worst movies (with any kind of actual budget) of all time. Thanks.

I'm guessing people think this is that "society of tragically thin-skinned people" movie... no. This one is actually pretty good.

Held my nose and downloaded for my wife.

Awesome!
