Okay here's a real review. It had nothing to do with lesbians or "wokeness" and everything to do with coming of age, finding yourself, change, adoption, parenting, friendship, betrayal... The mermaid bit is an allegory for body dysmophia and feeling like your different than evertbody else.
I am excited to watch this because I love Dropout content and the director is on there but I can't help but laugh at the fact that someone called this movie "woke" simple because a black person is in it. Anyway thanks for the upload!
Don't listen to the people who just love to say bad things about every movie, you'll never watch anything. This was a good horror. Some good scares, I'd say 6-7/10 on the creep factor, not too campy or cringy and that ending!!!! The plot twist was fun and unexpected. I can't wait to see the next one.
