There are two official versions of "AWOL" - the original (US Theatrical Cut "Lionheart", 105 min., which was released on BD) and the European (International Cut "A.W.O.L." 108 min., there is no normal release on BD). The European version is longer and more brutal and realistic (the burning scene at the beginning of the film lasts longer; the doctor in the hospital tells Leon that his brother's killers were not caught, etc.), but it does not have some scenes that are in the US Cut (for example, the scene of Cynthia flirting with Leon in the clothing store). The Extended Cut, which is presented here, has all of this (the Germans took the original BD with the US Theatrical Cut as a basis and added all the missing and alternative scenes from the International Cut).
