I have heard about this haunting some years back. There is even a movie on Netflix about it, but they are very different. I enjoyed the movie on entertainment basis. However, I am not a big fan of Ed and Lorraine Warren. This movie will have it's slow parts. But when things happen, it keeps you glued to the screen. Though it is based on a true story, some of it of course has been fabricated to give it some ratings. I will say though, the scariest scenes for me involved the nun - and that painting was legit creepy that I almost considered wanting one and then thought against it - because well, the nun scares the hell out of me. Purely entertainment - was pretty good in that aspect. Give it a view. Rating : 4.5 out of 5.
This movie was just - okay. It wasn't the worst scary movie but it didn't scream it was great either. First and foremost, the scenery in the opening shots is amazing. But that is as far as it gets. The story from there is dull and drawn out. Kevin Bacon has done some great work when it comes to some thrillers, such as Stir of Echoes. Sadly, however, he cannot even bring this film to greatness. I think the idea was great but once it was put on paper, it got lost in what it was trying to perceive. It has its moments but none of them will leave a lasting impression on you.
