This movie is more like a 0.9 and not a 8.9. The movie is horrific and really not worth a watch. Bad acting, bad visuals, really bad comedy, not worth comparing it to Airplane, like one did on IMDB. Imagine having your nails pulled out, getting a massage with a grater and being rolled in salt, then being tied to a chair and forced to watch a Steven Seagal movie for 24 hours. That is the experience that is waiting for you with this movie.
@TrizzySA Uhm, you do know that film making began in the late 19th century right? And the history is filled with Black filmmaking pioneers like Maria P. Williams (1866-1932), Noble Johnson (1881-1978), Lester Walton (1882-1965), Oscar Micheaux (1884-1951), Hattie McDaniel (1893-1952), Spencer Williams (1893-1969), Tressie Souders (1897-1995), Paul Robeson (1898-1976), Fredi Washington (1903-1994) to name a few... Most white people are NOT disgusted by people of other colors. In fact, we do not care what color people are, but only judge people of any color by their actions. All you are doing is fueling the hatred. Like Morgan Freeman once said. "The only way to stop racism, is to stop talking about it"
It was nice not to have a sing along for once and have some cool fighting instead ! Lots of emotions and a great lesson to be learnt also. Will be watching this one again for sure.
I don't know what the reviewers of this movie was thinking. But I watched this with my girlfriend and kids this evening and we really loved it. Yea, there are no songs like in other Disney movies, but the artwork, animations and music. Amazing. Love the developement of the main character and the "villain" of the movie and also the message that the movie delivers.
