I may not be the typical viewer. I like backstory. I don't just want two hours of 'splosions. I like a movie to be (mostly) self-contained but with bonuses for those who remember the previous movie and teasers for what comes next. Despite others' complaints, this seemed far more cohesive than the "normal" version. Not perfect, perhaps - and it still needs to lighten up - but it's much better for those like me who want a scifi movie that explains (most of) what's going on and why.

I like a good parody, almost as much as I like a good action movie. But this movie was so boring I skipped ahead after maybe 20 minutes, saw no sign of improving, and turned it off.

Can we downrate it so others don't waste time with it? It's really bad.
