its impossible for a movie to ever completely capture the wonder of reading a book. the only movie ive ever known to have come close was to kill a mocking bird, the old one. so i understand this, and i understand that artemis fowl is a childrens book, and this is a childrens movie. i read fowl as a kid and liked it, now ive moved onto reading better stuff, like tolkiens books, the wheel of time, the stuff branden sanderson puts out. and people have to understand that no movie will ever capture the magic of these books. i know that the new wheel of time series and the lord of the rings one wont be good, and its okay, its entertainment and thats fine. BUT. sometimes a movie comes out, like the dark tower one they made a few years ago, and it isnt just bad, its insulting. thats what this movie is. its like someone pissing on you suddenly during a 69. its completely crap and i closed it mid way. and thats why everyone is angry in the comments and why you shouldnt watch this
