You piqued my curiosity when you said. "Lee Miller was a lot prettier than Kate Winslet". I had to "google" photographs to see for myself. You sure you're "straight"? I thought, from her photos, that she wasn't particularly attractive, but in fact, rather "masculine", but a lot of women from the 30's were strangely so and the makeup of the time didn't help either. While I don't find Kate Winslet particularly well-preserved for her age, she is definitely more attractive than the real character this film is based upon.

Saw this when it first came out at the "Drive In THeater". I was 15 and went with my older brotrher and his girlfriend! The moment Virna Lisi came out of the cake I was hooked. Yeah, I was at that age where attractive women were an enticing preoccupation. Anyway, this will be the first time I've seen it since that night in the summer of 1966. In those days the walk-in theater was too expensive and we usually had to wait for the movies to come to the Drive In. I had to keep to the right side of my brother's girlfriend because they were making out on the Driver's side of the car and she was getting "felt-up" alot as I recall. I pretended not to notice!
