The reason why GM Polgar is special is because she rose to dominance in a sport which historically was deemed playable by men. She proved that limited narrative wrong by playing as well as many strong male GM's. Are there many other men who have a higher ELO than she does? Certainly. If there are a million men who play chess and a few women comparatively, it is to be expected that the number of strong male players will be higher NOT due to superiority in thought but just due to numbers.
