@Sheboink you just remind me about a guy who claims himself as an expert on Xmas movies because he has seen "over 1200 xmas movies" (or so he says). That's the kind of people that make reviews for IMDB nowadays.

Seems to me that the Dontgiveadamn user, is just referring to himself when he talks about poor taste. And I would add to him, lack of knowledge about movies, its production and quality. Costner's version was a blockbuster because it was a superbudget production. That means it was loaded with high quality effects and suntous resources used for its creation. Also, a lot of money for the cast. Thats just an expensive movie. This one, starring Patrick Bergin and Uma Thurman want so expensive, but the quality in general is superior from a cinephile point of view. Guess the one watching only Netflix movies and visually awesome productions is him. Please treat people who cares about cinema as an ART properly and learn to distinguish when its better to keep your unreasoned opinion to yourself.

Ok, I do not agree with the comment about "BOGUS REVIEWS" Do you really think someone involved in the production of any movie is gonna try to boicot or promote ANYTHING in a web site like this? come on, if anyone in kind of web site (s) comes from a movie production team staff or whatever way they were involved, they wont be reviewing the movies, they would actually report the place to authorities, dont you think? so make yourself a favor and end with your conspiracy theories. Talking good or bad about a movie in these kind of places is just what people feels for the movie as audience. It's not like if Y TS places were competing with rottento matoes or IM DB. Give everyone a break.
