This is the best sci fi movie I've seen since Upgrade. It's got a few potentially fantasy elements but nothing too drastic. It doesn't take itself too seriously but it's brilliantly written and directed. It presents ai exactly as it should be: a reflection of humanity, the good and the bad in equal measure. I highly recommend it to anyone who cares about what's going on in the world.
It was a solid 6/10. It was very limited but worked well in that limited framework. This is what action movies were like 20-30 years ago. It won't win any awards but it's a (mostly) entertaining watch.
@WHAMMO you're doing something known as the tu quoque logical fallacy, the lay form of which is commonly known as "I know you are but what am I?" Newsflash: anyone with values is judgmental sometimes. I'm just honest about it. There's no one I have a problem with just for who they are, only for what they do. If you call that bigotry, then fine. It's not, but facts shouldn't start suddenly bothering you at this point.
@WHAMMO You can't be a bigot against someone's actions and beliefs, that's just being judgmental. But nice try! Keep at it!
@Kirkegaard bigotry is based on hatred and fear, which are emotions, which are by there very nature irrational. That's not a condemnation of emotions, just a brute, neurochemical fact of life. Bigotry is carried down through generations, and carried out to reassure the insecure. Anyone who has been surrounded by bigots knows this without it needing to be explained. There are good reasons to dislike ANY group of people, if your values are based on something other than humanity itself. It's fine to dislike someone because of their actions and their beliefs, NOT for something they have no control over, like their gender, genetics and skin color. Obviously.
