Good film only let down by a cringy ending

The plot seems a bit convoluted to say the least...JK Simmons was being trailed by an elite S American special forces team because he was looking for this hottie female assassin that he wanted to find this couple and her son where the frumpy wife turned out to be the assassin after she had an accident in a car park....the special forces team was sent by a Mexican people trafficker who wanted the assassin dead because he was scared that she might have recognised him when she killed some of his associates and might now come after him since he killed her husband and imprisoned her son so he could force her to work in a pizza restaurant ....Who writes this stuff????

We don't like female Mary Sue's....here we get the male equivalent. No hero's journey, just a good at everything story poorly told

They always reminded me of the South African runner Caster Semenya who has internal testes as well as a vagina. And their faces and bodies were very masculine

I love Brad Pitt and I love George Clooney but this movie is a bit of a dog. Can someone please explain the ending?
