I have seen all 3 versions of Agatha Christie's novel starting with the one in 1972 starring Albert Finney as Poirot and the one with David Sutchet which was a TV movie and finally this present one so I have a very good knowledge of the movie and novel. This one is in my view the worst. Kenneth Brannagh was miscast although there were some good performances from the other cast especially Dench and Pfeiffer but the plot had some rather ridiculous additions/alterations completely out of the book's original story and character. The best version was that with David Sutchet who is the best Poirot ever and the most faithful to the novel. Sutchet was the exact image of Poirot and he paid tribute to the character. Finney's Poirot portrayal was not bad either but he was a little overacted in my view.
