A terribly underrated movie. I still remember how the critics grilled the movie/actors (Cruise specially). Looking back, I believe the movie aged well. One of the best vampire movies and a decent adaptation from a successful novel.

Depardieu's destroyed the movie. He's the worst choice for this character. He's not fit to play complicated characters like the great discoverer.

one of a few movies I've watched several times and I'll do it again

Thanks man, I was waiting for it for ages!

Very poorly-made, lots of chitchat and nothing else. Poor story and poorer film making. Downloaded it because of Sean Bean (my favorite actor) but it was just a waste of time and scolding from my fiance for wasting two hours of her life :(
