@Woodfish I agree that depending on your home language English could be foreign. If I knew Japanese or it was my mother tongue then this movie wouldn't be a problem. Since I read English, all my comments about subtitles come from that perspective.

Offering foriegn language movies without subtitles is ridiculous. It's like walking into a restaurant and not being offered a menu or cutlery. Pretty much a must have situation!!!

@softjesus I didn't find subtitles either, but that's the movie name in Japan. Just look under "Also know as" on IMDB itself.

@OzzieCritic - I'm in Canada. Hoping to visit Japan next year. Is 3 weeks too long a visit? I'd hate to get there and find my time there is too long or too short.

I actually like watching a lot of these soppy romance stories from Japan... but not because of the story, just because I've visited Japan several times and stayed in many areas there pre-COVID and I like seeing if I can recognise any of the localities, landmarks and street scenes :)
