Great watching Fred & Rita dancing together for the first time. Don't expect much of a plot, just kick back & watch Cole Porter's music make your toe tap while the dancers are amazing.

When a movie has Fred Astraire dancing, you

When a movie has Fred Astraire dancing, you dont really need a plot, and that is just as well as this 1941 offering barely has one. In an army setting, there are the usual mix-ups designed to get Astaire on the dance floor, this time with a young and utterly beautiful Rita Hayworth revealing outstanding dancing talent. You know everything will turn out well in the end, the real enjoyment lies in just watching Astaire float and glide around with supreme artistry and Rita Hayworth showing amazing skills for a comparative novice. This movie is a pleasant and relaxing watch which underlines just how great two great stars can be. REVIEWED BY NICK FLETCHER
