Basically, it's a musical remake of 'It Happened

Basically, it's a musical remake of 'It Happened One Night' (1934). June Allyson and Jack Lemmon do their best but ultimately.... it's not nearly as entertaining. Do yourself a favor and stick with the original with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. You'll be a happier person for it. ?

Pale imitation of It Happened One Night fails

Pale imitation of It Happened One Night fails to capture the magic of the first, a fools errand, but is pleasant enough. One of the problems is that Jack Lemmon & June Allyson share little chemistry, a vital component to the first film. Well made but lacking.
